1 - Anti-Spam Policy

UCE:
Unsolicited Commercial Email (SPAM)
1.1
E Business Services encourages reputable electronic business
and electronic commerce, and believes that it is possible
to conduct business on the Internet without resorting
to forcing advertising costs and unwanted e-mail down
the throats of potential customers.
1.2
Customers of E Business Services may not wilfully participate
in the storage, transmission, receipt, preparation or
use of information that is advertised by means of UCE
from within our network or from other networks. Very simply
this means that customers of E Business Services may not
use or permit others to use our network to transact in
UCE.
1.3
If an offence occurs - reasonable attempts will be made
to contact customers and allow them to resolve the problem
before E Business Services take punitive action. However,
in the event that the customer is unavailable, unresponsive,
or cannot prevent further UCE from being sent, E Business
Services reserve the right to immediately terminate the
customer account without notice or refund.
1.4
If a user is connected to a network by E Business Services,
the network administrator has the responsibility to terminate
the user.
If timely action is not taken, E Business Services has
the right to terminate the network connection, again without
notice or refund.
1.5
E Business Services shall, at their own discretion, decide
what constitutes UCE and SPAM.
2
- What is UCE or SPAM?

2.1
Below
is a quote from Scott Hazen Mueller
(scott@zorch.sf-bay.org), one of the Internet's strongest
opponents of UCE.
2.3
"[UCE]
is flooding the Internet with many copies of the same
message, in an attempt to force the message on people
who would not otherwise choose to receive it. Most [UCE]
is commercial advertising, often for dubious products,
get-rich-quick schemes, or quasi-legal services. [UCE]
costs the sender very little to send -- most of the costs
are paid for by the recipient or the carriers rather than
by the sender."
2.3
SPAM
is another name for UCE.
